In general, people are fairly thrill seekers. Why else would horror movies and haunted houses be so popular? When we are scared or excited, our bodies create adrenalin. Adrenalin, like endorphins, makes us happy. It’s a legal drug.
And let’s face it. Nothing can be as exciting as a free fall from the top of a roller coaster hill.

Yes, I still remember the adrenalin moving in my body when I decided together with Salina, Yusra, Wissam and Maan to follow Chantale’s plan to go to a thriller park (not an amusement park).

We went out from the hotel on a sunny day, and because Stockholm is built on a series of islands there is water everywhere and many different ferry services, so we took one of them, which stopped us front of Gröna Lund.

Gröna Lund is THE place to be! There we found all traditional rides, where we had been shaken around in all ways imaginable, from up side down, left to right and of course flying high up into the air and fall even quicker down again.

“I didn’t dare to get any closer yet then to look at it from the waterfront” Wissam said, hahaha, but at the end of the day it was fun.

Even though some of the scariest and most popular rides only last for a few minutes they last a lifetime in the memories of adults and children alike. They cerate moments of excitement and daring for us all to remember and are made only sweeter by the anticipation of having to wait in line to get on.

Another fun thing we felt there is that it was one of the last places where an adult can be a child again. Screaming at the top of our lungs is not only permitted but was encouraged too; some of us were also photographed with large furry animals.

At the end of the day, the best thing about that day was that we found a good place to spend quality time as friends together.
In today’s world, we are a very busy society and most of the time we have little time for interacting with our loved ones the way that we would like to.
