On Friday I went to see “Dracula” at the Royal Opera in Stockholm.

The opera is based on Bram Stoker’s classic novel of 1897, and most people know at least the essentials of the story.

It has been filmed a number of times, however, this was the first time the tale has reached the operatic stage, and it is a truly stunning and spectacular, visually and musically.

The Dracula story has been always one of favorite intense love story since I was a kid. The story has indeed changed everything we know about the world’s most famous vampire.

I was so happy and excited as a kid when my boyfriend booked us the tickets and it was a great experience to go together to the royal opera for the first time, but not the last.

Hope you all had a great weekend! XO

LIFE IN THE NOW

Sometimes I look to my body and remember my twenties, but I probably feel more confident now.

Happiness isn’t something that is naturally bestowed upon people. It takes effort, and a willingness to focus on positive thinking, but your hard work will pay off.

Happiness is an inside job. You look beautiful and young but sometimes you don’t feel it. And even if people can give you a compliment, only you can make yourself feel that you beautiful.

Most of us – women – grew up believing models were perfect, and that we didn’t measure up to them.

We keep striving to fit into the size 8 skinny jeans and try squeezing ourselves into dresses one size painfully smaller. It seems that we didn’t notice that we have been punishing ourselves for not fitting into the standard norm of the perfect vital statistics and body structures.

Fashion industry should admit that they don’t make clothes to fit REAL women!!

Mannequins should represent healthy life bodies and help to boost women’s body image and self-confidence when shopping, because what really matters is a healthy body and a clear mind.

Be what you want to be and LOVE your body!

XOXO

OHH YEAH

OHH YEAH, the yellow block lettered  standing out there screaming loud on my Zara denim.

I don’t usually talk about my clothes even if I love fashion so much but sometimes one item of clothing can stand out and express many things in few words. They are MOM jeans, which gives that ’70s ~ ’80s vibes, and fit so nicely on me.

Because I love loud music, and oh yes loud music kills a cocktail hour.

I was shy when I was very young, but by time I taught myself how to stand strong and no matter who I’m with, or what they are saying, I stood confident.

Shyness means insecurity, even if it’s only a small bit.

Working as a journalist then in marketing for over 15 years taught me that If you’re shy and don’t talk too much, people won’t remember anything about you. So If you want people to remember you, express yourself, share your emotions and opinions loudly. And don’t be afraid to say what people don’t want to hear.

“I AM OK” is what I say most of the time, it sums up my every day response when someone asks, “How are you?”

I say “I AM OK” even if sometimes I’m not. That’s why I always say that a smile doesn’t mean I’m okay, a smile means I’m trying to be ok.

People think because I look small, it means I don’t eat much, but the sparkling patches (burger, ice cream, a shake) on my jeans are so much me.

Last but not least, the block lettered “WORK IT”, because if you want to know what is round the corner, you need to follow your free spirit and find out.

Work hard for what you want because it won’t come to you without a fight. You have to be strong and courageous and know that you can do anything you put your mind to.

If somebody puts you down or criticizes you, just keep on believing in yourself and turn it into something positive.

Let your true self shine through. BECAUSE YOU ARE UNIQUE.

MUCH LOVE!!
