The highlight of the weekend aside from being sick and in hospital, Saturdays have become my favorite days to explore new places, cities in Sweden.
Few weeks ago I went to visit Vaxholm. Me and my boyfriend took the Waxholmsboalget boats to the in the Stockholm archipelago.
We found out later on that you can actually go to the town by bus using your SL card. Still taking the ferry was magical especially on the way back to Stockholm. The view was so pretty and it was a sunny day!
The best thing to do in Vaxholm is to simply stroll around. Don’t forget to stroll along the harbour.
Vaxholm is the name of both a town and the island it is on and is located in the central portion of the archipelago.
Thanks to google search I found the best place for a Swedish “fika”, Vaxholms Hembygdsgårds Café which is beautifully situated on a small peninsula. There you will find all sorts of traditional Swedish dishes like cold-roasted salmon with dill stewed potatoes, smoked shrimps and the classic “shrimp sandwich” (in Swedish: räkmacka). Not to even mention the amazing desert buffet with cookies and pastries! OMG yum yum for the nuf nuf tummy.
The first thing you may notice when arriving at Vaxholm, apart from a boat petrol station, is its fortress. It was constructed under King Gustav Vasa in the 16th century, though most of it was rebuilt in the 19th century. It protected Stockholm city successfully from the Danes in the 17th century and the Russians in the 18th. The view from above is really amazing especially on a sunny day.

This restaurant has everything you would want, great organic food, great wine, great view, friendly staff and a shop underneath to browse.

Beauty exists within our strength. Two years and half ago I booked a ticket to Sweden knowing that trip will change my life. But I always believed to do what I want and not follow any rules.
Some of us who come to live here feels that they obliged to adopt almost immediately the Swedish way, others are honed over months or years.
In the morning I get up early, drink my coffee, dress up and head to work. I usually eat my breakfast on the way.
I love hot tea especially green tea, but also like to buy the herbal, licorice or the peppermint ones.
Still I try to make every day looks different than the day before. For example social media for me isn’t just a profession, it is my passion. It is all me! Sometimes I will post something in few hours or on a daily basis, but then I could go dark for a week.
I like fashion and like to dress up, I love to shop even if I was not that much attracted to big brands. I’d rather have items that fit well in my wardrobe and last for long timer. one my icons is Audrey Hepburn, ya she was utterly chic and maintained such a fresh, youthful look. Oh her brows were epic and dressed simply but left a huge effect.
The day is coming to an end and it has been so much fun to see many of my friends.
Some friends just arrived to Stockholm and others will leave in no time. It feels weird to not be able to say to one of best friends “see you tomorrow” but I will be looking forward to seeing him in the near future.

Pink is still my sweetest star. I shower my wardrobe with it from time to another with every shade possible and then mix it with nude, black or denim to feel extra pretty.
Science says that looking at colors can relax you. For example, red shades tend to trigger your stress response, making you more anxious, while pink promotes balance of your energies and calm you down.
Our daily life is so busy with hectic schedules, to-do lists which never see an ending, that make us so easy to be stressed out.
When it comes to stress days, music has the ability to quickly shift my mood.
Listening to music is a relatively inexpensive and a quick-acting solution that is always available to save my life.
Also exercise is one of the best ways to reduce my stress. You may not know yet, but I love going for a ride on my bicycle weather indoors or outdoors.
When I’m stressed out, cycling does help. It clears my head, slows down my racing thoughts and improves my mood.
Tomorrow is a new day, it will be full of work meetings, cycling and meeting my beloved friends.
