MY FIRST MIDSUMMER FUN NIGHT

My first Midsummer in Sweden was just Purrrrrfect with my friends 🙂

Though the day was raining in the morning but it ended up as a sunny one in the afternoon.

Swedes celebrate the longest day of the year with family members and friends in the countryside. They keep singing, drinking alcohol and eating traditional swedish food prepared by almost everyone.

Pickled herring is a particular favourite during this season. Also strawberries and the lingonberries are quite popular in the summer and they are usually consumed in the form of cake or cream.

In agrarian times, Midsummer celebrations in Sweden were held to welcome the summertime and the season of fertility.

Flower wreaths are a common motif in Midsummer gatherings. You can find revelers of all genders wearing these garlands. Mine was not real but it was a pretty one which I will keep on my mirror as a positive sign.

Here you can see my mini towering maypole – it is usually a huge one, so people can dance around it – which is an iconic symbol of Midsummer celebrations.

Hey lovely people,

Hope that you all are ready for a great and long weekend.

Personally I’m getting ready to celebrate midsummer with my friends in Stockholm.

As I mentioned before, midsummer is a unique celebration when adults and children come together to picnic in the grass, decorate the midsummer pole, make flower wreaths, play traditional games and dance to music.

But I won’t lie to you or myself, I have been feeling down today, I spent the whole day at home and I feel homesick.

The anxiety and emotional distress which come together because I’m staying away and disconnected from my friends isn’t easy to handle.

Sky Pool – Fairmont where one can enjoy the skyline of Cairo!

I’m trying not to let that prevent me from having good time in Sweden or enjoy traveling to new places.

To overcome such feelings I decided to plan for a trip to visit my best friend.

I will be booking my flight ticket very soon. But now I’m thinking of all the chatting which is waiting for me and the great adventure that awaits the both of us!

Anyway here is a throwback to some favorite moments in Cairo.

Ahh, I wish my every week starts and ends with this the sun above me and the pool in front of me.

I just love the lazy pool days! To lay by the pool, drink lots of water, cocktails and eat fresh fruits. But at this moment I’m laying on couch blogging Hahahaha!!

Talk soon ♡

Is It Okay If I’ll Call You Mine?!

I will never say never to a trend. I have some favourite colours like block, purple, pink and royal blue but I can’t see myself in the same colour or style cage all the time because I love my freedom.

Im a very moody person and my style changes according to my mood. One day I’m very feminine and the other day I’m very boyish. Hahahaha 😉

I’ve worn this dress a lot this summer – totally in love with it. Soon it is Midsummer’s celebration in Sweden! It’s a tradition to hang out by the water. I have never been in Sweden during the celebration, but my friend is gonna take me out to celebrate my first Mid-Summer. Oh Yaaaay!!

It will be much fun to hang out with friends and Miley the dog. I’m so excited already.

Hope you’re all having a great day today and that you will get the chance to enjoy the sun. I will finish work early today then I’ll be heading to my boxing class and after that I’m Off-Duty! XOXO
