Happy Sunday!! Time passes so quickly. How crazy Ha?!

Last week I attended “Saint Lucia” concert at Katarina kyrka (Church of Catherine) in Stockholm for the first time.

Yes, one of Sweden’s most famous and popular festivals is Lucia. It is celebrated every year on December 13 that is also the Lucia name day. I had the opportunity to see Lucia coming with song and music in the absolute darkest time of the year. The Christmas spirit doesn’t get any better than that.

It was also nice to visit the Christmas market in Gamla Stan, where we found a lot of Swedish Christmas sweets, smoked sausages, smoked reindeer, elk meat, handmade knitted hats, candy floss and glögg (mulled wine).

Yesterday I decided to work even more on my Christmas vibes and put my first Xmas tree on. Little cute one!

Undoubtedly, Christmas can be one of the most celebrated yet equally stressful times of the year especially for those who didn’t even think of shopping for Xmas.

Yesterday I’ve almost finished all my holiday shopping, found some great deals, still our food for Christmas day is not ready yet to be cooked.

Tomorrow I will be spending the whole day celebrating Xmas with my colleagues and I’m super excited and looking forward for it.

Today I’m chillaxing in bed then gonna meet my friends to enjoy some Egyptian food and open some early Christmas gifts ❤ Talk later, kisses and hugs!

Yesterday Vs. Today

Beautiful sunset in Cairo, Egypt

What a great time of year to have the opportunity to come back to my hometown, from the snow to the sunshine and palm trees! On top of that a chance to connect and network with some of my besties, old and new friends.

Yesterday I had my last day in Cairo before heading back to Stockholm and since the sun was shining, I decided to go for a last walk around the city.

My morning started with a breakfast at Pottery Cafe in Zamalek, then I went to have lunch with my family before I headed into town to take some photos of the sun. Vacay days flew so fast!!

When I got back it was time to pack my bags, have dinner with my friends, say goodbye and leave to the airport. So sad to say goodbye to those awesome friends.. But I will definitely see you soon!

From the flight I saw Stockholm covered  in snow like a winterland. So, another day with lots of snow and Cold! Ohhhhh I wish I could turn back in time and feel the sun on my face again.

Stockholm is that city which never stops, even in the middle of a snow storm. This year we have quite a cold winter.

Counting down to Christmas feels pretty anyway.

Now I will go to see my Swedish friends, and have some quality time with before the weekend finish.

Hugs & XOXO

I NEED A VACATION

I wake up with a sinking feeling because of my to-do list got longer than I expected during this trip. Yes I’m overwhelmed.

Sometimes we are our own worst enemy. Our brains conjure up worst-case scenarios, which in turn scares us and makes us think it’s not possible to succeed.

Yes it is difficult to strategically plan your schedule to ease stress if you live in Egypt, but nothing is impossible. I tried as much as possible to plan events accordingly.

I woke up early everyday since I arrived with my heart racing thinking of the things I left undone.

My vision was for long (solo) walks, refreshing reading, deep conversations with my friends.  What was I thinking?!

To finish official papers in Egypt, you need many days, so now I’m planning for a real vacation while I’m having one. Lolllll

In the end I’m enjoying what I’ve got.  I’m sitting most of my time under the sun because it is rare to feel its warmth in Sweden during the xmas period.

So Happy Me Anyway! Kisses XOXO
