Feeling Grey .. Feeling Blue

It doesn’t take a lot to confirm that weather affects your mood, and in Sweden we witness more dark days than the bright ones.

Things has been a little gloomy when you wake up in the morning and see no light.

So it is time to take your vitamin D regularly and hope for the best.

But what else can you do in these days to have a bit of fun?!

Oh baby, I got some tips for you:

1- Take a hike and see all the colored leaves. I actually moved to new place so looking forward to explorer the area around us.

2- Fika and more Fika. Yes Swedes love to have a lot of coffee breaks (fika) but in these days cafes feels more warm and cozy than the rest of the year.

3- Mysa time. It means cozy up. You can do that alone or with friends. Light some candles, put some flowers and enjoy a drink or two.

4- Time to go to the museum. Last year I spent a lot of rainy days at different museums. Still there is the ABBA museum which I wish to see this year.

5- Get fit in the gym. More Swedes turn to escape the dark mornings and days by heading to the gym. It is natural to invest some quality time in oneself. Running outside makes no sense so the gym is an ideal place anytime.

Today I’m heading to the gym after work, I will have an early dinner then cozying up in front of TV or maybe I will curl up with a book.

Have a great day y’all! Puss Puss

Dreaming of Spring

Spring in Sweden was like a dream. Lollll! After a sunny week, we are back to the cold, foggy and raining weather. Oh and next week will be marked by snow and bone-chilling temperatures.

Still Swedes do celebrate spring’s arrival when the median daily temperature is on the rise and remains between 0C and 10C for at least seven days in a row.

I thought that once they announce the arrival of spring, we will witness the not so hot, not so cold weather.

In other words, a LAGOM weather.

Lagom is a uniquely Swedish term that doesn’t have any literal translation in English but basically means ‘not too much, not too little”, Just the right amount, sufficient average.

Meh we will have to wait to see if the real spring will arrive or we will just skip that season from our calendar!!

Still I went shopping for a spring floral bouquet to lighten up my life 🙂

XOXO

OMG Sometimes when it is -13C in Stockholm, I cannot remember why I chose to come to this country, but here I am, standing with my friend Jamie on the cold streets taking photos and having fun.

It’s amazing how our memories work and what sticks in it. We started this year by wandering the streets sharing stories and giggles.

After freezing our fingers, we decided to go for a healthy lunch, then we followed that by going to SATS to train together.

It is much easier to workout when you have friends that interested!

Jamie is gonna start her Piloxing training this week, so you should come and try it out with us. There is a lot to learn from her, and she generously shared with me some fun tips and showed me some techniques.

Wishing you a beautiful day! xoxo
