Sometimes, the stress of everyday’s life gets to us and we find ourselves feeling overwhelmed and exhausted.

Then you might complain a little, and whine a little more.. BUT how often do you stop to appreciate those little things in life?

In life there are things that make us happy but we take them for granted, the things that make you feel good like a great cup of coffee or a long conversation with a close friend or a walk with a your loved ones.

Today it was all about basking under the warm afternoon sun.

Finally it was not a grey regular swedish winter day, though it was -11C but I could feel the sun rays on my face.

Over to something completely different, I’ve gotten a bit obsessed with cactuses… I have many of them at home in different sizes and shapes… Hahaha maybe because they remind me of my homeland. Still palm trees are my favourites but cactuses starting to catch up.

Plants add oxygen to the air which has a calming effect. There are a lot of succulent plants that can be grown in your home, and cactuses are actually great plants for beginners. So I purchased myself that BABY cactus on my way home.

In the end of the day; I want to say THANK YOU to everyone tries to put a smile on my face 🙂

Flirting with flowers ※

Roses evoke romance, love and beauty. Revered for its velvety petals and heavenly scent, it is nice to have them in the home and garden, but did you ever wondered about rose or a flower meaning before you gift them to your beloved?

Roses and flowers have inspired people over the ages to develop a language by ascribing meanings to color.

Traditionally, the rose is considered the flower of love. Nothing beats red roses in saying “I Love You”.

When you consciously choose a certain color, variety or number of roses for someone, you bring a whole new depth to the gesture of gifting roses. The good thing about my new neighbourhood in Stockholm is that neighbours care to plant as many flowers as they can to put a smile on your face while walking around.

So don’t wait until your sweetheart appears with a bouquet of blooms to give your home some floral flair. The health benefits of adorning your abode with flowers are worth splurging on the blossoms for yourself.

Keep the love, get rid of the handles 

Yay or Nay?! Skinny or Fat?! #transformationtuesday

No I have not been dieting on and off all my life. I actually had the ideal weight for my hight but in my head, I was always fat.

I have been suffering from an eating disorder since I was little. 

I had always a real fear of weight gain, I used to eat less, pretend I’m full, fast, or excessive exercise (I was a swimmer till the age of 18). 

Unfortunately I grew up with this bad habit and as I’m living alone for such long time, I never liked to cook, so it was easier for me to eat in restaurants or deliver fast food to home. I used to eat one meal per day because I didn’t feel hungry too much, I worked for long hours everyday that sometimes I forgot to eat and I never had breakfast, but then I found out that I’m getting weak and became actually over weight so I got depressed. 

The problem here that when I’m depressed I eat less or starve myself because I have no appetite. I had constant stomach pain. I don’t really remember when I became unhappy with my body but I remember that I was disgusted by the way my belly had grow and bloated and I started to have love handles too.

Anyway to make this story short I just wanted to share with you that all too often, we make the weight loss much more difficult than it needs to be with extreme diets that leave us cranky and starving. 

The unhealthy lifestyle choices that we follow, and the emotional eating habits always stop us from being healthy. 

The good news is that there’s a better way! My trainer “David Seisay has designed a customized food and training programme for me. I learned that I can lose weight without feeling miserable with making smart choices every day, developing new eating habits and preferences that will leave me feeling satisfied—and winning the battle.
