Thursday sweat .. Today I invested in myself. I had today off, so it was time to wake up early for some training. I took my training to the next level.
I’m done with my first Thai PT session with André at Fightbox.
Today’s session focused on technique. André is an awesome coach and he is so generous when he explains the right moves.
Thai boxing or “Muay Thai” is a combat sport and martial art that has been developed in Thailand. It is known also as “The Art Of Eight Limbs”, because both hands, elbows, knees, and legs can be used to attack an opponent.
Today endorphins were because of the many high kicks. You know that there isn’t anyone who practices Thai that doesn’t want a higher kick. OMG so pumped!
I’m so looking forward already for the upcoming session.
Oh and thank you Emil for the awesome photos 🙂
Keep the love, get rid of the handles
Yay or Nay?! Skinny or Fat?! #transformationtuesday
No I have not been dieting on and off all my life. I actually had the ideal weight for my hight but in my head, I was always fat.
I have been suffering from an eating disorder since I was little.
I had always a real fear of weight gain, I used to eat less, pretend I’m full, fast, or excessive exercise (I was a swimmer till the age of 18).
Unfortunately I grew up with this bad habit and as I’m living alone for such long time, I never liked to cook, so it was easier for me to eat in restaurants or deliver fast food to home. I used to eat one meal per day because I didn’t feel hungry too much, I worked for long hours everyday that sometimes I forgot to eat and I never had breakfast, but then I found out that I’m getting weak and became actually over weight so I got depressed.
The problem here that when I’m depressed I eat less or starve myself because I have no appetite. I had constant stomach pain. I don’t really remember when I became unhappy with my body but I remember that I was disgusted by the way my belly had grow and bloated and I started to have love handles too.
Anyway to make this story short I just wanted to share with you that all too often, we make the weight loss much more difficult than it needs to be with extreme diets that leave us cranky and starving.
The unhealthy lifestyle choices that we follow, and the emotional eating habits always stop us from being healthy.
The good news is that there’s a better way! My trainer “David Seisay“ has designed a customized food and training programme for me. I learned that I can lose weight without feeling miserable with making smart choices every day, developing new eating habits and preferences that will leave me feeling satisfied—and winning the battle.
Thanks What Women Want – magazine and my friend Reem Gamil for giving me the chance to share my story with others. I hope it can inspire men and women who wish to change for good. #ImReborn #Reboot_2015
My journey towards a healthier lifestyle started after I was diagnosed with breast cancer, then a few months later I was diagnosed with another in my uterus.
Sometimes simple choices so hard to make, even when they might benefit us, like going for a run or eating healthier food options. BUT if you believe that the changes we wish we could make, it will be so much easier to make those simple choices that benefit us — Thank you David Seisay for making making the healthy choice the default choice for me and many others.
Inspiring and maintaining personal behavior change is not easy, but ensuring a sustainable health attitude for a better future is absolutely worth it. Behavior change is neither simple nor linear; it will require greater awareness, commitment, innovation and determination.
So DONT GIVE UP ON YOURSELF!!
