Christmas Ride with Kajsa Ålund

True magic means for me adding some festive touches to home which make the days all more cheery and memorable all winter long.

Poinsettias still my one most favorite Christmas flowers. For many years now this cheery plant has been brightening up my home.

My day started with a Christmas ride at Urban Ride in Stockholm, then I went with my boyfriend to get a big Xmas brunch at Urban Deli in Södermalm, and we bought some food. Now our home is full of yummy food for my tummy.

Back to home, I wanted to try baking and have a healthy little Christmas. If you love chocolate then you’ll love this recipe.

A delicious healthy treat for dessert or a breakfast.

Here is the recipe. Hope you will try it and enjoy it!

Prep Time

Servings: 12 muffins

Cook Time: 40 minutes

  • 1 1/2 cups white whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, warmed to liquid
  • 2 tbsp Greek Yogurt
  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 tbsp strongly brewed coffee

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly oil muffin pans or line with paper liners.
  2. Use a whisk to combine all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Use whisk to combine all wet ingredients in a separate mixing bowl and whisk until ingredients emulsify and become uniform. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Spoon batter into muffin pan until cups are 2/3 of the way full. If using chocolate chips, drop a couple on top of the muffin batter.
  5. Cook muffins for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out of the center cleanly.

Interior – God Jul Season!

Some of you have already seen my apartment, but some things are different and finally we got some new shelves!

Christmas decorations should all be about candles and magic. There is no better way to welcome the holidays than focusing on what truly matters and turning your home into a magical place of joy!!

Hanging decorations to your windows can be a sweet initiative to feel the festive season.

Rembermer also that natural elements are also easily accessible, affordable, and make for great holiday centerpieces. Check out those lovely green and red cherry branches

These natural bundle brings an element of a fresh forest to your home décor. The branches with Green Berries add organic interest to its surroundings, while the red ones match the Christmas spirit.

For an enchanting display, place these branches in a nice vase 🙂

Merry Christmas / God Jul to y’all!

Love xoxo

Make Peace with the Scale!!

Finding my happy weight is less about the numbers and more about a lifestyle that I can maintain!!

I have gained some kilos and my ABS almost disappeared during the long X-mas and New Year holiday “which will end on Sunday” BUT my personal trainer said that I can lose those extra kilos quickly. I hope I can do this!!!!

On Monday 12th January 2015 I will be following my new customized food and training plan which has been put together by my PT David Seisay.

I will be also part of the #bfit3 challenge, so I’m already excited!!

I feel that my exercise routine have fizzled during this holiday. The challenge is to get back to gym, rebuild my ABS to make them strong again and develop the lower ones. This time I would love to have more defined ABS.

These are my honest photos before and after the Xmas holiday.

I will reclaim my motivation to drive those extra kilos away, improve my flexibility to help myself endure the rigors of daily routine.

These days I’m studying my new exercises, planning, shopping, preparing and cooking my food to be ready.

I’m now fitter than before so I believe that this time mission/challenge will be easier than before with 100% commitment and no more excuses!!

I believe that I can do it again because I now know that results can be so addictive!!!!

Follow my transformation and wish me luck!!!
