Walking like a tourist in the Old Town – Gamla stan

In reality there no shame of admitting to having moments of humanity and vulnerability, I am just a human and I’m not supposed to be always strong.

Lately I experienced bouts of depression that range from simple sadness to life re-considerations. And while the women/men I knew never demonstrated the reality of depression in their lives, the reality of my experience tells me that there had to have been tears in the dark, moments of surrender, wishes of ending lives over life struggles.

I have been given the chance to discuss issues that I may find uncomfortable to bring up in other situations, or even with our my families and friends.

The feeling of distress and confusion in a transitional phase is a normal feeling which everyone has felt it at least a couple of times but recently I realized that no one knows what’s going to happen next. We just occasionally like to pretend we do because it allows us to feel safe.

During my life time, I’ve pushed people away, I’ve come closer with others, I cried, I laughed, I suffered and I enjoyed myself at the same time without feeling ashamed.

Unfortunately, the more we compromise our values, the more of a negative impact it has on our mental wellbeing.

I always said to myself I’m going to make it on my own. Taking a stand – saying that I will not tolerate or put up with certain attitudes or behavior – means being willing to accept the responsibility of making that choice and thus shouldering the consequences.

Doing the right thing or standing up for my believes may not be easy mission as many think, but when I do, I know that I’ll be able to look myself in the mirror and feel good about myself

The truth is, we wouldn’t be human if we didn’t make mistakes, but learning from those mistakes and standing for what we believe in the vast majority of time is what is most important.. We’re all human, and it is up to us stand up for ourselves or for one another.

Today is the “World Kindness Day” so be kind to yourself and to someone else.

A Day To Remember

Jasmine Elnadeem

Hallo world! Hope you’re having a great week so far. I have been working non stop for weeks but finally starting to get everything under control. So worth it.

Haha, you should see the chaos of clothes that’s going on on our bedroom floor right now. I have no time to make any laundry!! But at least I get the chance to discover my hidden clothes in the closet now!

Finally I’m blogging again and I’m back on my regular workout routine again.

I wake up early in the morning feeling That I can give much more energy for the rest of the day.

Today I decided not to work any extra hours and dispose my evening for other fun stuff, lazy stuff or must-do’s instead.

Today is a day to remember indeed!

Today I will DREAM, full moon, a pink sky and a glass of wine. Just to feel relaxed and happy! Tomorrow is another day.

Kisses and good night to y’all ❤

SWEAT ON THE GO

As you noticed, I completely adore travelling. Living in Sweden has been a very tough experience to me.

My emotions which I prefer to hide are going out of control, so I need a vacation soon to stop thinking of evil things. Hahahaha 🙂

I love to travel to hot places so I make sure to stay hydrated!

During my vacation – which was so good to be true – or during my work, I have a lot of things going on so it’s important for me to make a habit of getting my workout done either first thing in the morning or immediately after my office hours.

You know that in your thirties strength training can help you build muscle and produce more human growth hormone, both of which keep your metabolism running as fast as it did when you were 20.

Lately I have been making sure to train every week for 3/4 days a week. I organized my calendar, set my alarm and lay out my clothes next to my bed the night before so I can get into them as quickly as possible if my training in the morning or to feel ready if my training is in the afternoon.

I think that even a light workout is better than nothing.

Work_hardWho do you sweat?

I sweat myself.

Where will you sweat?

This week I will sweat at Urban Ride and FightBox

When will you sweat?

This week I will sweat after my office hours, but from next week I will sweat in the morning to avoid  the too many excuses which can be found once the day goes on!

How will you sweat?

I’ll sweat doing cycling, core exercises and boxing.

Why do you usually sweat?

I sweat because I’ve seen the rewards that working out brings physically & mentally to me. I sweat because I want to keep a balanced lifestyle and I want to look after my body and there’s nothing like the endorphins rush that goes during and after the training.

Stay motivated, LOVE, J
