Keep the love, get rid of the handles

Yay or Nay?! Skinny or Fat?! #transformationtuesday

No I have not been dieting on and off all my life. I actually had the ideal weight for my hight but in my head, I was always fat.

I have been suffering from an eating disorder since I was little.

I had always a real fear of weight gain, I used to eat less, pretend I’m full, fast, or excessive exercise (I was a swimmer till the age of 18).

Unfortunately I grew up with this bad habit and as I’m living alone for such long time, I never liked to cook, so it was easier for me to eat in restaurants or deliver fast food to home. I used to eat one meal per day because I didn’t feel hungry too much, I worked for long hours everyday that sometimes I forgot to eat and I never had breakfast, but then I found out that I’m getting weak and became actually over weight so I got depressed.

The problem here that when I’m depressed I eat less or starve myself because I have no appetite. I had constant stomach pain. I don’t really remember when I became unhappy with my body but I remember that I was disgusted by the way my belly had grow and bloated and I started to have love handles too.

Anyway to make this story short I just wanted to share with you that all too often, we make the weight loss much more difficult than it needs to be with extreme diets that leave us cranky and starving.

The unhealthy lifestyle choices that we follow, and the emotional eating habits always stop us from being healthy.

The good news is that there’s a better way! My trainer “David Seisay has designed a customized food and training programme for me. I learned that I can lose weight without feeling miserable with making smart choices every day, developing new eating habits and preferences that will leave me feeling satisfied—and winning the battle.

Shake up society standard!

A lot of people like to tell me that there was nothing wrong with me before and I didn’t need to change anything. They’re half right.

From the outside, I looked fine and I never felt the need to make a change based on my looks, which is what took me so long of leading an unhealthy lifestyle to actually make a change. But what you can’t see by looking at someone on the outside is their health.

This is what people need to realize – skinny people can be just as unhealthy as someone who is bigger than them. But, because they look ok by society’s standards, they don’t need to make a change!! Sorry, NO!!

I needed to make a change determined by the state of my health. If you’re unhealthy and you make a positive lifestyle change, it WILL naturally be reflected in your body. Focus on your health and your body will reward you for it.

CLEAN OUT YOUR KITCHEN!

IMG_8525

We all have some type of cake, ice cream, chocolates, or chips hidden somewhere in our kitchen.
Instead of keeping them hidden for that moment you feel like craving something unhealthy, toss it in the trash! I toss them in the trash and replace them with fruits or fresh juices.

If you don’t keep any unhealthy foods in your kitchen, you won’t feel the need to eat it. Also, you’ll think twice about going out to the supermarket JUST for a snack!

Viola, a quick and easy tip to avoid unhealthy snacking! xoxo
